Write for us

Prime World Review welcomes thoughtful proposals about objects, materials, craft, design and material history. We are interested in clear writing that helps readers notice how things are made, used and understood.

What to propose

We consider reported explainers, object histories, close readings of design choices, material comparisons and essays about craft or visual culture. A strong piece has a distinct subject, a reader-facing question and a clear reason the subject matters beyond being unusual.

A useful pitch

In a short message, tell us the proposed subject, the main idea, the form the piece would take and what you would draw on to support it. Name the specific objects, materials or traditions you have in mind, and note any relevant limitations or uncertainties. Avoid pitches that depend on unsupported claims or treat one example as representative of a whole culture.

How to send it

Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Include a concise description in the message field; a finished article is not needed for an initial proposal. A submission does not guarantee publication, and any further steps can be discussed if the idea is a fit.
